Our Mission and Vision

The European Refractive Surgery Council is made up of industry representatives and medical professionals who work together to ensure that anyone considering refractive surgery can make the decisions that are right for them – decisions which are based on the most accurate information available.

ERSC provides a forum for the discussion of all issues related to refractive surgery in Europe. Our activities include education, research and community outreach.

As well as providing information to the public and prospective patients, the ERSC is also committed to advancing innovation and promoting best practice within the refractive surgery industry.

The ERSC is a source of eye care guidance, cultivating a sector-wide commitment to best practice. It provides a united, transparent and evidence-based voice for refractive surgery, influencing service development and new care models for the benefit of patients and the public.

ERSC Editorial Advisory Board​

ERSC works with many of the leading experts in refractive surgery and eye health, which allows us to provide the most accurate and up to date information on laser vision correction.  Thanks to the time and expertise that these outstanding thought leaders generously contribute, we’re able to further our mission to be the resource which people use to make fully informed, unbiased decisions about their vision correction surgery options.

In addition to reviewing our content, the ERSC Editorial Advisory Board works to identify and interpret the latest clinical research, with a view to helping educate and in form consumers about laser vision correction procedures.
