What is LASEK

LASEK is a treatment which can be a suitable alternative for people who aren’t good candidates for LASIK laser eye surgery. LASEK uses only one laser, and no flap is created on the outside of the eye. The surface layer of the cornea is loosened by applying an ultra-thin sheet, which is then gently folded back. A cool beam laser reshapes the surface of the cornea to smooth out its imperfections and to improve your vision.
